Normally we post about work clothes, but life needs to be fun too!
I saw this "off duty"outfit from Karen Millen and just love everything about it. I would wear this shopping, to dinner, or just hanging out with friends.
When building your basic work-kit, you probably don't want to spend a lot of money on a lot of different shoes, so we always recommend starting with the well made basic shoes, in brown, black and taupe or cream in whatever heel height you feel comfortable in.
These basics will get you through most office environments then you can start adding different styles and colors, even red.
Red seems to be one of those colors that can cross the line from work-appropriate to vampy in a matter of seconds, so I actually have 2 different red shoes: one with a 2.5 in heel for work and a 3.5 inch heel for not work.
Tip: If you've never worn brighter color shoes, you can wear them with slacks, so you are just showing a peep of color.
